For the time being the service will remain shortened.

PARKING

Sunday street parking is available at metered spaces on Park Avenue East and on the square by the gazebo, as well as in the city lot just east of the church.  There is no charge at parking meters on Sunday. Until further notice the Park Avenue West doors will be closed on Sunday mornings. Please enter at the Diamond Street doors. If you visit us during the week we have 5 free spots reserved in the Saint John’s United Church of Christ parking lot across the street (68 Park Ave East).

KIDS

We believe that children and elders are vital to our faith community. We don’t have a lot of children at First UMC, which means that our children receive lots of love and attention. At First UMC you will worship alongside your children. We know this is not easy, but we do it because we believe this is how children learn to worship - together with their families. Children’s activity bags are available in the back of the sanctuary, and we encourage parents to guide their children through our prayers and songs, and answer any questions they might have. An unstaffed nursery is available to those who need it. We’re excited to meet you!

worship gatheringS

We gather at 10 AM on Sundays to pray, read scripture, enjoy music, and listen to a teaching from our pastor. Until further notice we will have just one worship service in our beautiful, historic sanctuary.

Community

At First UMC we love gathering with our church family! Please join us for Coffee Hour after worship and each Sunday we have a bible study at 9 am on Sundays in room 108. We look forward to meeting you!
